The $JHOLOW project’s bounty program is designed to be clear, fair, and flexible, balancing transparency with the need to protect those who come forward. Below are the rules and guidelines that will govern how we handle tips and rewards:
- Bounty Tiers & Team Discretion: We’ve established three general bounty tiers – Small, Medium, and Large – to categorize rewards. Rather than rigid dollar amounts, these tiers give us flexibility. The $JHOLOW team will review each valid tip and assign a reward tier based on the significance of the information. (For example, a minor corroborating detail might get a Small bounty, a substantial lead a Medium, and a breakthrough tip a Large.) This flexible system ensures we can reward info proportionally and even go beyond the tiers for an extraordinary tip. Final amounts in crypto will be decided by the team, but we’ll be as consistent as possible and explain our decisions publicly.
- Submission Process: All tips must be submitted privately via email to whereisjho@pm.me, which is a ProtonMail address set up for this project. ProtonMail is encrypted end-to-end, providing a secure channel. We strongly encourage using ProtonMail or other privacy measures when sending tips. In your message, include as much detail as you can, and any evidence if available (documents, photos, etc.). Please do not share tips publicly on Twitter or forums first – to protect the investigation’s integrity, it’s best they come through the confidential channel. We log the time each tip comes in to help if multiple people send the same info (the first verifiable tip gets priority for reward).
- Verification and Review: Once a tip is received, the $JHOLOW investigative team will privately verify its credibility. This could involve research, contacting sources, or consulting authorities, as appropriate and could take days or, in some cases, longer. During this phase, we might reply to the tipster via ProtonMail for clarification or additional info (while still keeping their identity shielded). No reward will be granted until a tip passes our verification. The team reserves the right to reject tips that are clearly bogus, unverifiable, or pose ethical/legal concerns. This review process ensures that bounty funds are used to reward truth, not rumors.
- Anonymity of Tipsters: Protecting our sources is paramount. All tipsters can remain anonymous. We will never publicly reveal or confirm a tipster’s identity, nor will we internally store personal details beyond an email (if even that). If a tipster wants to identify themselves publicly, that’s their choice, but we will not do it on their behalf. Even when we announce that a bounty has been paid (see next point), we will only describe the tip in general terms (“a Medium bounty was awarded for information regarding [X]”) without any hint of who provided it. We encourage tipsters to use pseudonymous crypto wallets and burner emails to receive rewards, further preserving anonymity.
- Public Bounty Announcements: In the spirit of transparency and community engagement, the $JHOLOW team will publicly announce when bounties are awarded. These announcements (via our Twitter @whereisjho or https://whereisjho.xyz) will mention the tier of the bounty (Small/Medium/Large) and a brief, non-sensitive summary of what the tip pertained to. Example: “We just paid out a Medium bounty for a credible lead suggesting Jho Low was in Location X late last year. The hunt continues – keep the tips coming!” Crucially, no identifying details of the tipster will be shared. Announcing rewards serves two purposes: it shows the community that the project is yielding results, and it may encourage others with knowledge to come forward when they see that real money is being paid for real info.
- Post-Verification Action & Reward Delivery: After verifying a tip, the team will determine the appropriate bounty tier and contact the tipster privately to arrange payment. Rewards will typically be paid in cryptocurrency (to maintain anonymity and keep things within the crypto ecosystem). We can send $JHOLOW tokens or a stablecoin (or another crypto the tipster prefers) to a wallet address the tipster provides. The tipster can set up a fresh wallet for this purpose if they wish to stay extra anonymous. The reward will be issued promptly once verified, independent of any external action. We want tipsters to be rewarded as soon as we’ve confirmed their info.
- Ethical and Legal Considerations: We ask that tipsters only share information that they have obtained legally and ethically. We are not soliciting anyone to break laws to get info. Similarly, our team will handle all information responsibly – if a tip has potentially dangerous implications, we will coordinate with professionals (for example, if someone’s safety is at risk, or if it involves sensitive law enforcement intel). We will never pay bounties for illegal actions (e.g., hacking private accounts). The bounty is strictly for information that helps locate Jho Low or reveal truth about his activities, not for any harmful or unlawful acts. By submitting a tip, the tipster confirms to the best of their knowledge that they have a right to share that information. The team may consult legal counsel if needed before paying out a particularly sensitive bounty.
